Remove Odor Subfloor. Start by thoroughly vacuuming or sweeping the particle board to remove any loose dust and dirt. Combine 1 cup of warm water, 1/4 cup of mild dishwashing soap and 1/3 cup of white vinegar in a spray bottle.
The first step is to treat the subfloor with an enzymatic odor remover. There is a lot of pet odor in the floor. Soak the brush in a bucket of bleach, and then start scrubbing.
