Mirabilis cultures were associated with bacterial cystitis in 36 of 39 dogs (92.3%), pyelonephritis in 2 of 39 dogs (5.1%), and one dog had both bacterial cystitis and pyelonephritis. Necropsy revealed congestion of internal organs, including lungs, liver and kidneys, and an enlarged, dark spleen. This means it does not contain any bacteria or other organisms (such as fungi).
